Warmaster Dogs of War
The Warmaster Dogs of War (DoW) army list uses some of the same core units as the Empire list (Knights and missile troops) so it is a good additional list. As a mercenary force some of the other units can be from multiple other lists. I have gone with Light Cavalry and Marauder medium infantry from the Orc and Goblin list, though these troops may use Araby figures as these become painted.
My figures are a mix of Games Workshop and Pendraken
From Left to Right,
Back row: Pikes (3), Knights (4), Light Cavalry (4), Marauders / Orcs (4), Ogres (3)
Middle Row: Pikes, Tuska, Handgunners (2), Crossbows (4), Dwarves (4)
Front Row, Hero, General, Paymaster, Wizard, Galloper Guns (2) , Wizard, Dwarf Hero
The army needs more Pikemen, once the extra 3 units I have are painted then I can field 3000 pts of Warmaster troops.
Knights
Four units of GW Warmster Empire Knights, including a unit of Knights Panther.
Hand painted flags, with the addition of heraldic symbols (from Warhammer Bretonian Knights transfer sheet)
Light Cavalry
Currently I'm using Goblin Wolf riders as the light cavalry, the fluff allows for many different light cavalry units to be used - I will probably use Araby cavalry when I have some painted, as having dwarves and goblins in the same army feels a bit wrong.
Pikes
Pikes are the core infantry of the DoW list. In WM these troops are based on 20x40 (like cavalry not infantry). Figures are all Pendraken, with a mix of codes to represent the rather varied look of Empire troops, which range from late medieval through to Renaissance. They are painted with 2 colours per unit, with different coloured limbs per figure to give a Landscheckt style look.
These include Landscheckt LAN9, Medieval ELM and English Civil War EC1.
I currently have 3 units painted, and figures for 3 more units.
Crossbow and Handgunners
Warmaster Empire Hangunners. Slightly customised to add flags.
Warmaster Empire Crossbows, again slightly customised to add flags.
Ogres
A heavy infantry option for DoW is Ogres. Rather than going with the standard WM Ogre figures I have gone with Pendraken Minotaurs, basically as I really like the figures. I bought two 25 figure army bags, expecting to base the figure 4 to a base, and therefore make 4 units. As I could only get 3 figures on a 40x20 base, I should be able to get 6 units with the addition of a handful of figures.
Dwarves
The other heavy infantry option for DoW is Dwarves, these are Games Workshop BoFA plastic figures. I have based these on steel bases, which gives the plastic figures a nice heft. As the figures are moulded in strips, this does give a good density with 7 figures on a 40mm frontage. But As there is only 1 strip available it does give a remarkable uniformity to the units.
Marauders and Swordsmen
Swordsemen are unarmoured infantry, Empire Skirmiskers are a possible troop type.

Mararuders are in medium armour - I have used Orcs as these troops, I also have some Vikings from Pendraken as possible troops. But generally I don't use too many of either of these, preferring the heavier infantry.
Galloper Guns
DoW use light cannon than Empire or Dwarves, I have used Pendraken figures to represent these. Left hand ones are LAN7 Landscheckt Medium Guns, the right hand ones are ELM15 Late Medieval medium guns. The crews are mainly from LAN7 with some GW Empire gunners as well. The horses were added to indicate the increased mobility - can't recall which Pendraken pack they came from!
Tuska
Work in progress - needs figures adding to the howdah, and the painting finishing.
Birdmen

These are conversions using Empire crossbows and handgunner figures with the addition of Pendraken birdman wings. The original birdmen figures were too barbarian for my view of DoW.
Paymaster

GW Empire commander figure, with table, chair and treasure pile from Pendraken.
