Red box is the area that a single BKC platoon base (5x3cm) would cover at the same scale as the ground scale (1cm=20m).
I count around 30 houses in that area -- I wouldn't fancy trying to defend that area with a platoon -- nor would trying to knock down the houses with tank fire be very practical.
Ground scale=Figure scale basing
Figure bases on bases at ground scale=figure scale (i.e. 1/150). The grey brick "base" is actually a little small (58cmx36cm) but pretty close.
Here we have 6 infantry bases (5 men on each) representing a platoon split into 3 sections.
Here 4 Churchill tanks on a scale 100m x 60m base.
Some notes on scale
Ground scale 1cm = 20m
1cm = 2000cm i.e. 1/2000
Model scale 1/150
1cm = 1.5m
1base = 1 platoon
for infantry 1 base = 30 men
for tanks 1 base = 4 or 5 tanks
1 base = 5cm x 3cm (also approx size of a tank)
in ground scale equates to 100m x 60m
in model scale = 67cm x 40cm
Photo scale
74pixels = 50m
148 x 89 pixels = 100x60m
So in scale on a base 40x67cm would have 4 tanks or on a base 67cm by 40cm would have 30 infantry (5 bases @ 6 to a base)
